I am dropping weight precipitously, the only two substantial differences between this try and less spectacular prior attempts:
* I have a hard goal of losing 40 lbs by a date that isn't movable, my 40th birthday
* I stopped drinking sodas as a daily habit a few weeks back, they were mostly diet drinks, but I think they were messing with my body's sugar cravings
