Jill-gill's Journal, 02 Jun 10

Well I lost the lb I put on last week and I had my cheat so I am feeling happy. I have stayed the same weight now give or take a lb for a whole month. Things have got to get moving. I am going to have a very strict week. Next week the scales have better moved by 2 lbs!
I want this 10 lbs off by July 20th so that I am in the 11 's for my holiday. I haven't been in the 11's since the year 2000!

I keep telling myself that my body has called a timeout and taken a month off in protest at the weightloss and it is prepared to start losing again now that its caught up! Lets hope I'm right!

Jill, take a little time and read back through your own journal entries over the last month, along w/ your food logs...see if you can make any connections to why your losses (which were definitely on a roll) have seemingly disappeared...time to evaluate the facts.

I think I know, 2 - 3 coffees with cream, adding strawberries and a general body wanting a break. Will determine my plan next wednesday on weigh in!

I'm sure your body was thriving (according to your journals and weight history) about a month ago...once you look at OWL, vs. induction, and which foods are triggers, then start slowly with the re-introduction of more veggies, then slowly w/ one additional low carb food item, etc, back into OWL on a slow and steady basis. (one food over a two week span, letting your system adjust slowly.) It's induction w/ a little "kick" - and it is working well for me. Biggest goal for you should be to keep cravings at bay while you work on the mental fatigue you are obviously feeling w/ this way of eating. Getting excited again about your fabulous losses, your new energy to exercise, how your clothes are fitting, your hubby goal for July, etc... these things should be your focus - and how one day at a time you can build on your successes...until you have gone from days, to weeks, to months, without being tempted or having any kind of "cheats". There is so much to "gain" from this new lifestyle...but weight is NOT one of the "gains"...a new respect for life, health, and overall wellness!! Be blessed in your efforts Jill, ...focus!
