I found a pencil skirt from Talbots that I want. As soon as I get to a size 6, I'm going to buy it! Also, I saw the doctor today. He said that my BMI is 24 so I am not able to get diet pills. I told him that I really don't think I need them anymore - I don't have the cravings I once had - I seemed to have turned the corner. He recommends the following:
"Low carb-high protein diets (Atkins, South Beach, Zone or Sugar Busters) CARBS ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS! Remember SAFE (no soft drinks, after mean snacks, fast food, and lots of exercise (30 minutes per day is fine even if it is just a walk). Before each meal take 8 oz of water and add 1-2 tsp of Orange Flavored Metamucil and drink it quickly. Take 600-1000 mcg of Chromium Picolinate a day. 3000-4000 of CLA (Conjungated Linoleic Acid) per day. 8 Fish Oil capsules a day. 725-1450 of Green Tea Extract. AVOID LATE NIGHT SNACKS! If you have diabetes especially important is 1800 mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid a day for wt loss also. A great App is MyFitness Pal it is free.Exercise 5 times per week for 30 minutes." Also, he said he thinks my goal weight should be 145 pounds. I told him that my inital goal is 138 but I may not be able to achieve that since I am in menopause - he said that menopause may make a little difference but not much. He said that the Chromium Picolinate is supposed to speed up my metabolism - it's been used for years - he suggests I read more about it.
