Protein and fiber hold appetite and ensure water and waste elimination. I told you about protein powder from soy that athletes use. At the health food store. There's wheat bran. There's rice been. And oat bran. These are cereals, or cereal add-ins. There's lean meat like flat brisket and white fish like tilapia and extra lean turkey. There's fibrous carbs from veggies like broccoli, carrots, romaine, cauliflower, that keep well in the fridge and can all be eaten raw.

Good luck with job interviews. You're doing pretty well with the diet and you're losing. I think that suffering from food temptations may mean you still need a big sense of routine. But you're building that with new eating habits that make you feel more sure of yourself. You're getting over the sugar cravings (get Stevia). You passed up the cookies! This is meaningful. This is real change. Potato salad is a little more advanced. It seems like better food. But it's not. Potatoes make us retain water and are mostly starch. Then there's the family gathering, much more emotionally charged than an office group. But you're aware of it. You're catching on. You need a prop, like a diet book, or a little speech that they can understand. Just wait till you can cook something for them and make them eat it...

Yay you got the job! Boy did I have a week...I think ole menopause is after me again. I felt like I couldn't beat food cravings for days. Like my nerves were hungry. But it's pretty much gone now, and in spite of a nutty week, I'm stll in the same place. When I say "nutty" I mean nutty..I couldn't stop eating dry roasted peanuts. I don't have to go back to Walgreens for a month and I'm not gonna. I'm staying as far away from dry roasted peanuts as I can get!

ha ha. thats pretty funny San... Job went awesome today and I'm learning alot. Most of the CNAs that are already there seem really nice and friendly, and then there are some other ones who just walk by and ignore the new ones when you have this "duh" look on your face... All is going good though and I'm excited to be doing as much walking tomorrow as I did today!
